AU Company Climate Intelligence Pack
The au_company_climate_intelligence pack composes company-level climate profiles and risk assessments from multiple government data sources. It combines entity resolution, emission data, grid intensity, and BOM SILO climate context into deterministic API outputs.
What it does
- Resolves Australian companies by ABN against CER NGER and ABR registries
- Composes deterministic company climate profiles from persisted government data
- Calculates physical climate risk from BOM SILO gridded observations (temperature, rainfall, extreme heat)
- Generates AASB S2 disclosure evidence bundles (JSON, PDF, XLSX, Markdown, provenance)
- Supports tenant-authored emission targets, organisational boundaries, and market-based Scope 2 evidence
- Benchmarks company emissions against ANZSIC sector peers (percentile rank, quartile statistics)
- Analyses multi-year emissions trends with CAGR and linear trajectory to 2030
- Tracks AASB S2 filing readiness across four disclosure pillars
- Provides indicative Scope 3 screening estimates for key categories
- Assesses transition risk from sector classification, Safeguard exposure, and benchmark position
- Reports water stress when BOM water balance data is available
- Provides site-level climate profiles for multi-facility companies
Use cases
- Company climate due diligence — assess climate exposure for any Australian company by ABN
- AASB S2 disclosure preparation — generate evidence bundles mapped to mandatory paragraphs
- Portfolio climate screening — batch climate profiles for up to 50 companies
- Ongoing monitoring — track emission trends, grid intensity changes, and physical risk evolution
Data sources
| Source | What it provides |
|---|
| CER NGER | Annual Scope 1 and 2 corporate emissions |

| ABR | Company entity data via SOAP API |
| NGA Factors | Emission factor reference (via Climate Disclosure pack) |
| GNAF | 15.9M geocoded addresses for site matching |

Climate risk model
Physical risk is derived from observed BOM SILO data at company and site locations:
| Indicator | Risk category | Adverse direction |
|---|
| Mean temperature | Chronic physical | Increase |
| Rainfall | Chronic physical | Decrease |
| Extreme heat days | Acute physical | Increase |
Climate bands use a 1981–2010 baseline period. Drought modifiers escalate risk bands when rainfall falls below 60% or 40% of the historical baseline.
Outputs
| Format | Contents |
|---|
| JSON | Structured climate profile and risk assessment |
| PDF | Formatted climate report |
| XLSX | Workbook with optional assurance metadata |
| Disclosure bundle | Seven-file evidence package for AASB S2 |
